Spring Sorority and Fraternity Recruitment

University of Lynchburg’s National Pan-Hellenic Council, Panhellenic Council, and Interfraternity Council community are holding their recruitment in the spring of 2021.
To be a part of the recruitment process there is a fee of $25, which includes a t-shirt. There are multiple events to get to know the chapters, leading up to the main recruitment event. This is a great way for people to meet each other and learn about what being a part of Greek Life at the University of Lynchburg is like.
Brenna Knoeller, a sophomore at the University and member of Kappa Delta, promotes being a part of an organization, saying it “helps you grow as a person as well as the sisterhood that surrounds the community, [which] makes my college experience so much better.” Knoeller joined her freshman year.
To rush a fraternity, the chapters will host events and get to know the potential new members. There are different fraternities to look into and become a part of.
Drew Pelkey, coordinator for Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of Lynchburg, has the task of working with sororities and fraternities and helping them grow throughout the year. Pelkey confirmed that recruitment for the Panhellenic Council would be online for the spring semester. “We feel that is what is the safest and the best for our community,” she said. Recruitment for the Panhellenic Council will be the same layout virtually as it was in person.
